Mr. Mitchell Donahoo is the principal of Hahira Middle School. His wife, Morgan, is also an educator and works as a speech-language pathologist.  

Mr. Donahoo attended Valdosta State University where he holds degrees in Middle Grades Education and Educational Leadership. He has six years of experience teaching middle-grades math and social studies. Mr. Donahoo has a passion for people and the community. His favorite quote comes from Martin Luther King Jr.: 

"If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl; but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward."

Justin Purvis, Assistant Principal

Mr. Purvis is no stranger to HMS, as he joined the team in 2016. Over the past eight years, he has become an accomplished 8th-grade physical science teacher, serving as both content and team lead. He helped revise the 8th-grade curriculum pacing map to better align with student needs, coordinated collaborative efforts among faculty members, and contributed to the science department’s 17% increase in their content mastery score.

Mr. Purvis is also a member of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program at HMS. He understands the critical impact of positive school culture and climate on academic achievement and plans to keep this vision when moving into his new role.

A two-time graduate of Valdosta State University, Mr. Purvis chose to continue his education and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Curriculum Leadership.

I am Sandy Alcidonice, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Hahira Middle School. I grew up in Florida but have called Lowndes County home for the past 18 years.

Since graduating from Valdosta State University with an undergraduate degree in education, I have furthered my knowledge by obtaining a Master’s Degree from Walden University, a Specialist Degree from Georgia Southwestern State University, and an Educational Leadership Degree from the University of West Georgia. 

Alongside my fellow administrators, I am committed to ensuring the academic success of all students. TOGETHER we will provide safety and quality education in a loving and nurturing environment. In addition, WE are committed to maintaining a positive partnership with our stakeholders.
